PASTORS/LEADERS/INTERCESSORS INSTRUCTIONS
THE PURPOSE
The purpose for the Community/Regional Prayer Summit is to give church leaders, government officials and individuals an opportunity to unite together, humble ourselves, repent, petition and seek God for wisdom and direction.
THE THEME SCRIPTURE
If My people, which are called by My name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. (2 Chronicles 7:14)
THE FOCUS
The focus of each Community/Regional Prayer Summit will be announced after strategy meetings are held with participating church leaders and government officials. In 2019 the focus of each summit is "stopping the violence".
THE OPPOSITION
The number one and most powerful opposition that's going to come against us in these summits is the spirit of offense. Because the summits consist of many different denominations, ethnic/racial groups and of course gender, the enemy will try to use the spirit of division to stop the unity God wants to establish.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Please stick to the 5 minute guidelines
A. You may pray less than 5 minutes but not more than.
B. If you lose track of time, the next person will come to tap you on your shoulder - please
yield to them.
C. Remember we don't want the people to just listen to us pray, we want them to enter into
prayer corporately.
2. We want to keep the prayer sessions continually moving by:
A. Being ready to step in when your turn comes.
B. Giving the next person the microphone when you're finished.
3. The Community/Regional Prayer Summit is to encourage the people.
A. Do not pray prayers of hopelessness. (research scripture for your topic and pray the Word)
B. If you have been given specific assignments, please stick to them.
1) example: If you are supposed to pray for Christian leaders, don't pray for the military
families, etc. leave that to someone else. (Holy Spirit knows)
4. Please take your seats in the order you will be speaking/praying and:
A. Please acquaint yourself with the person sitting next to you, it helps the flow of the summit.
5. Intercessors will be assigned to cover each Pastor, Minister and Government Official with prayer.
